Our Mission

The Estancia Fire Department is a volunteer fire and EMS organization dedicated to protecting the lives, property, and well-being of the Estancia community and surrounding Torrance County areas.

We respond to structural fires, wildland fires, vehicle accidents, and medical emergencies – providing advanced life support and transport to ensure our neighbors receive the highest level of pre-hospital care available.

Service Area

EFD serves the Town of Estancia and surrounding rural areas of Torrance County, New Mexico. Our central location allows us to respond quickly across a wide service area, including mutual aid to neighboring communities.

Our History

The Estancia Fire Department has been protecting this community for decades. Born from the spirit of neighbors helping neighbors, EFD has grown from a small volunteer brigade into a fully equipped fire and EMS operation – while maintaining the volunteer heart that defines rural New Mexico fire service.
