Board & Governance

The Estancia Fire Department operates under the authority of the Town of Estancia. Department governance follows New Mexico statutes for municipal fire departments.

Open Meetings

In accordance with the New Mexico Open Meetings Act (NMSA 1978, 10-15-1), all regular meetings of the governing body are open to the public. Meeting agendas are posted at least 72 hours in advance.

Town Council Meetings

The Estancia Town Council meets regularly. Fire department matters are addressed during council meetings as agenda items. Check with the Town of Estancia Clerk for meeting schedules and agendas.

Department Leadership

  • Fire Chief — appointed by the Town Council
  • Officers — appointed by the Fire Chief
