Estancia Fire Department provides 24/7 fire suppression services across our service area. Our trained volunteers respond to structural fires, wildland fires, vehicle fires, and hazardous materials incidents.
Structural Fires
Residential and commercial structure fires. Our crews train regularly in interior attack operations to safely and effectively protect your home and business.
Wildland Fires
Rural New Mexico means wildland fire is a constant risk. EFD is equipped and trained for brush, grass, and interface fires that threaten homes and open land.
Vehicle and Accident
Vehicle fires and accident extrication. We work closely with law enforcement and EMS to ensure scene safety and patient care at every accident.
Our Apparatus
Engine 1 and Engine 2 – Structural fire response with full hose loads and pump capacity for sustained attack operations.
Attack 23 – Ford F-450 brush and attack unit. Fast, nimble, and built for wildland response in tight rural terrain.
Fire Prevention
Prevention is the best emergency. EFD supports community education on fire safety, burn bans, and defensible space. Check our News and Announcements page for current burn restrictions.
